Alumni Board Needs Your Help

As Oakland City University students are back on campus to begin the fall semester, excitement is building. Individuals can see changes to campus, and they may also hear rumblings of changes. Anticipation is building for the inaugural season of the new football team. The need for an unforgettable game day experience is paramount. The game days, scheduled for September 16, September 23, October 7, and October 28, promise an unforgettable blend of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and community engagement. At the heart of the endeavor lies the President’s Tent, an exclusive gathering for OCU Alumni Board members, donors, and invited guests. To ensure the success of this unique event, the Alumni Board calls upon the OCU alumni community to volunteer and play a pivotal role in shaping an unparalleled Mighty Oaks Game Day experience.

The President's Tent will buzz with activity and enthusiasm from 10:45 am to 12:45 pm on each game day. Alumni volunteers will contribute to the vibrant atmosphere by assisting in various capacities. The presence of volunteering will add a personal touch to the game day experience, bridging the gap between past and present OCU generations. It will be a great opportunity to reconnect, share memories, and celebrate the pride that comes with being a Mighty Oak, all while watching an exciting game of sprint football.

Alumni Table at Organization Day

The Alumni Board is also gearing up for Organization Day on August 15 from 9 am to 1 pm. Organization Day is an opportunity for Oakland City University students to learn more about activities on and off campus. The Alumni Association is setting up a table at this year’s Organization Day and is looking for willing individuals to speak with students. The event is a valuable opportunity for current students to learn about the Alumni Association and its myriad of post-graduation possibilities. Volunteers for this day are highly sought after, as they will play a key role in sharing their experiences, answering questions, and inspiring the next generation of OCU.

With alumni at the forefront, the President's Tent at the Might Oaks Game Day and a table at Organization Day are poised to become cherished traditions that unite the past, present, and future of OCU. If interested in volunteering, please contact Heather Hose, Alumni Board President, at [email protected]. We look forward to hearing from you!
